The pride of Malaysian weaving, songket is cloth decorated with a supplementary weft of gold or silver thread. The technique, shared across several cultural groups in East as well as West Malaysia, results in a fabric so opulent as to be worn almost exclusively on significant, momentous occasions. Crisply-stamped bright pewter disc, on a food safe eco-composite body in stylish black.
